Seafloor Classification Sensors / ECHOplus
The ECHOplus seabed classification system is manufactured by SEA Inc. of Beckington England, UK. It offers dual-frequency analysis and output of seabed roughness and hardness (E1/E2) from traditional echosounder data.
OIC supports the ECHOplus system via GeoDAS-LT, and GeoDAS-PC.
- If used as a stand-alone sensor,GeoDAS-LT supports reading the output of ECHOplus as the primary sensor in NMEA format.
- If used in conjunction with another sensor, such as a sidescan or multibeam, GeoDAS-PC supports reading output from the ECHOplus as a standard Seabed Classification system, via the GeoDAS Meta-data inputs tool.
